    Subdomains generally take 24-48 hours to set up. DO NOT repeatedly update your settings, as this will just reset your time to get setup.     It might be disabled under your account. Go to your contest "settings" send confirmation email and make sure it's enabled. Their email might have been faulty.   • How do I integrate with Zapier?
    Besides having tons of built-in integrations, we also allow you to connect with Zapier to do more things with your data and connect to more tools that we don't have direct integrations with. Zapier allows you to pass data from VYPER to a 3rd-party. We use Zapier's "webhooks" to send data to Zapier, which you can then send to most email marketing services.   • Understanding Points Breakdown
    Sometimes there may be confusion on how referral points are calculated. For example, If you disable, "confirm emails" then that means there will be no confirmation emails that are sent. That also means that if any contestant refers someone to the contest, all of their referrals will instantly count as points.     NOTE: VYPER automatically tracks the "PageView" and "Lead" Facebook pixel events. A few participants will have to sign up before the pixel starts tracking.     Referral points work differently depends on whether you're doing a viral contest or a rewards program. Referral points are only given when contestants complete the signup process. For the rewards program, referral points will be given on completed purchases.Few readers
  • Why is my contestants' points count not increasing?
    There are a number of reasons why a contestants' points might not be increasing. They must have gotten a referral in order to increase their points. Just simply sharing does not increase their points number. They are trying to cheat & refer themselves, this has set off our cheating detection algorithm.Few readers
  • How do I re-instate / whitelist a user that was marked as a cheater / disqualified?

  • Why are my emails not showing up in Klaviyo?
    There are 2 possible reasons: 1.) Only new emails will be pushed to Klaviyo, not the ones that are a part of the contest before the integration. 2.) The contest is set so that it requires email confirmation to push to the ESP. This setting is under the settings step. Once the user confirms their email, then the email is pushed into Klaviyo.Few readers
  • Does a VYPER contest work even if I have no audience?
    Viral contests work no matter your audience size. If you have no audience, you just have to get creative with how you initially "seed" your contest. In our blog, we go in-depth with how you can seed your contest list and see the viral growth.Few readers
  • Why is my contestant not getting emails from my VYPER contest?
    There are a few reasons why this might be happening. 1 - If you're testing your contest, note that every email will only come once to the same IP address / email address (meaning confirmation email will only come once, even if you test it multiple times). This is to prevent spammers from destroying our email reputation.  To override this, you need to delete your "test entries" in the "winners / entrants" tab. 2 - If you've installed SMTP, please ensure your SMTP settings are correct and thaFew readers
  • My campaign says the "Campaign is over" or the "Contest is over" even though it's not.
    Your campaign may show up as the "Campaign is over" or the "Contest is over" when it's not live or not at the end date yet. This usually happens when you have disallowed certain countries to participate in the contest so those countries will see that message. You can change this setting by doing the following: 1.)     On March, 29th, 2018, VYPER adopted a new policy re: ICO & Crypto related campaigns. All of these campaigns are required to sign up to an Enterprise plan with a custom subdomain. Meaning you must take your contest OFF the vyper.io domain. This is due to angry users mistaking us for the provider of the token as well as warnings from social networking sites that could endanger our VYPER domain.   • How do I add tags for ActiveCampaigns?
    Currently, we only work with lists. As a workaround, you can create a new list and then tag those users once they get added to that list.Few readers
  • How come my contestant didn't get their reward or opt-in bribe email?
    This generally happens for a couple of reasons. 1 - The user provided a typo in their email address. 2 - The user has signed up multiple times with the same IP address. We don't send duplicate emails to the same IP in order to prevent spam emails from getting sent emails. Undeliverable emails, unfortunately, hurt our sender reputation, which is why this is in place. 3 - The reward / opt-in bribe unlocks at zero or 1 entry.   • Why wasn't this contestant disqualified / marked as a cheater, even when their cheater score was so high?
    VYPER doesn't automatically mark high cheater scores as cheater. We only mark blatant cheaters as a cheater (when they sign up multiple times from the same IP). We recommend that you manually check cheater scores of any winners that you pick before you allow them to be crowned the winner.Few readers
  • I accidentally manually approved a bonus action, can I undo it?
    Unfortunately, we currently don't have an undo for this. You'd have to manually remove points from that user on the campaign results step.Few readers
  • My user shared their referral link but didn't get any points!
    Currently with VYPER, points are only added for either signups (viral contest) or purchases (rewards program). By just sharing the referral link, your user does not get any points. If they did get a referral and they didn't get any points then they might be facing the following issues We deemed the referral to be fraudulent. Same IP referrals do not reward points. The user signing up might not have used the right referral link. The contest owner has it set so that referralsFew readers
  • How can I test my autoresponders?
    You would need to sign up to your own contest in order to test the autoresponders. You can also add points manually to your profile if you need to see the milestone emails. All emails also have a preview option.Few readers

    We have a proprietary algorithm that determines the likelihood that a user is a cheater. This includes things like IP matching, but also looks at patterns that bots would use to cheat a contest. Unfortunately we can't reveal the entire method of the cheater score as this would make VYPER contests easy to game.   • Can I transfer points from one campaign to another?
    In some cases, you might want to create two campaigns, a pre-launch and the main launch for example. You may want to transfer points contestants collected during pre-launch and have it transferred to the main launch. This is not possible since each campaign is separate from one another, however, there is a simple workaround.     They are extremely good at building communities and audiences.     There's a few possibilities. 1 - We've detected this user is a cheater. Referrals must be confirmed emails. Same IP referrals will not get counted. 2 - Your contest start date is in the future. If your webhook isn't sending emails to your ESPs, here are some possible reasons: It will trigger only on new signup with a new email after the webhook has been set up.  If you set up to have "confirmation emails are required," only emails where the contestants confirmed will get pushed via webhook.Few readers

  • Some of my contestants' points are being deducted, why is that?
    Generally, this happens because users are getting disqualified from the contest, which would lower point totals.     If your contestant signs up multiple times from the same IP address, they will automatically be marked as a cheater. However, there are more indicators that a user is a cheater than just their IP address signup.   • My referral points are not working, what's going on?
    There are a few possibilities of why referral points may not be registering or registering incorrectly: 1.) If you're currently testing your campaign, referral points are not registered if it's under the same IP address. This is to prevent cheating. If you want to test your campaign, we recommend downloading the Opera browser and using the built-in VPN feature and testing it that way. 2.) The referrals only count if the user actually gets someone to sign up, the points don't come from juFew readers
  • Testing the embedded form, but get a blank white page when signing up.
    When you embed your form to your landing page, it has to be launched first before the page shows up properly. If you're seeing a blank white page, make sure to launch the contest first.Few readers
