My user shared their referral link but didn't get any points!

Currently with VYPER, points are only added for either signups (viral contest) or purchases (rewards program).

By just sharing the referral link, your user does not get any points.

If they did get a referral and they didn't get any points then they might be facing the following issues

1) We deemed the referral to be fraudulent.

2) Same IP referrals do not reward points.

3) The user signing up might not have used the right referral link.

4) The contest owner has it set so that referrals only count if they confirm their email (and the referral didn't confirm their email).

Note:

If you switched from requiring confirmation for referrals to not requiring it, the past referrals are not counted. You have to use the recalculate feature.
